Hello everyone!
Many of you may have noticed a decrease UMACT in activity.
This Summer the UMACT team will be taking efforts to re-launch UMACT as a more active, engaged, and structured organization.
As a brief introduction, my name is Mayra Cantu, and I have recently been named the new UMACT President for 2020-2021. I just moved here from North Texas, where I worked most recently for the City of Grand Prairie and was engaged with their association, UMANT.
In our efforts to relaunch UMACT we are asking everyone with an interest in UMACT to submit a membership form. The form can be found here: bit.ly/UMACT2020.
We will also resume the payment of membership dues. Once you complete your membership form, you'll receive an invoice from PayPal for annual dues, which goes towards supporting marketing, engagement with Universities, networking events, professional development, and (hopefully) scholarships!
A new website is under development, and once we begin to receive membership forms, we will also roll out a leadership interest form for those who wish to serve on boards as chairs or members, or on the UMACT executive team.
The available boards are: Marketing and Communications, Special Events, Networking and Mentorship, Professional Development, and Membership and Partnerships.
